Bio - Haroula Battista

Hi there! When visiting practitioner websites and learning about a new modality, I like to know as much as possible about the practitioner that I am potentially going to develop a relationship with. As such, I have put together some information that will give you some insight as to who I am and what my credentials are.

I am licensed as a Holistic Practitioner with the city of Toronto. I am a certified Reflexologist, Indian Champissage Practitioner and Reiki (level II) practitioner. I obtained my Honours Bachelor of Science degree from the University of Toronto with a specialist in biology and continued with post graduate studies where I attained a diploma in IT.

I have had an interest in holistic healthcare since I was a teenager; my motivation to make this field a lifelong commitment stems from some inspiring role models that have made a big impact on my life and from my personal growth. I am passionate about helping others overcome personal challenges and about continuing education.

My interest in medicine has propelled me towards Homeopathy and I am currently enrolled with the Ontario College of Homeopathic Medicine, where I expect to graduate in 2010.

I approach each client individually and lay out a treatment plan that is specific to everyone's individual needs. I provide a judgment free and safe environment that allows healing to take place optimally. I try to always be compassionate as to support my client's overall goals to achieve a balanced physical, mental and spiritual state. I follow the client's progress closely and have experienced amazing results with the techniques I practice.

I believe that the human potential is boundless and that our bodies are extremely sophisticated. Therefore, we can overcome obstacles (physical, mental and emotional) that we never thought possible. I've seen it happen with my clients and I've experienced it for myself. I'm not talking about magic, I'm talking about basic therapies such as Reflexology, Indian Champissage and Reiki; therapies that nudge your system to work a little harder and clear stagnation so that your body can heal itself. Give it a try and you'll see.
